How We Support Paternity Cases

Voluntary or Court-Ordered Establishment

We guide clients through voluntary acknowledgments or DNA testing when parentage is disputed or unclear.

Custody, Parenting Time & Support After Paternity

Once paternity is legally recognized, both parents gain rights, and responsibilities. We help build custody, parenting time, and support arrangements that reflect your child’s best interests.

Challenging or Defending Paternity

In cases involving mistaken parentage, contested rights, or fraud, we advocate for accurate outcomes backed by solid evidence.

  • Through a voluntary acknowledgment or a court-ordered DNA test. Once established, legal rights, including custody, visitation, and support, can be determined.

  • Yes, but only in specific circumstances and within certain time limits. An attorney can help evaluate whether a challenge is legally viable.

  • The court can issue orders for custody, parenting time, and child support. Both parents gain defined rights and responsibilities.

  • Only sign a paternity affidavit if you are 100% sure that you are the biological father.  Even if you later discover that you are not the father with a DNA test, you likely will still be considered the child’s legal father, required to pay child support until the child is emancipated
